Baguettes

I simply love them. Fluffy and crusty.

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 1/2 cups of water (375ml)
  • 42g fresh yeast
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

Directions:
  1. Put the water, salt, sugar, flour and yeast in the bread machine, following this order.
  2. Set your bread machine for the program dough. Mine takes 1h30 to knead and raise.
  3. Take out the dough from the bread machine and lay it on a floured board. Cut it in 3 and form rolls.
  4. Put the rolls in the baguette form.
  5. (optional) Brush the baguettes with the mixed egg.
  6. Crust baguettes with a knife.
  7. Put them in the oven at 50ºC for half an hour to raise again, on the top level of the oven. Under, I put a pan filled with water to insure the humidity in the oven.
  8. Increase the temperature to 200ºC and keep them inside of the oven for another 30 minutes.
