Kugelhoph with Turkish delight and nuts

This is a type of sweet bread, perfect for breakfast.

  • 650g all purpose flour
  • 42g of fresh yeast
  • 280ml milk (warm)
  • 2 eggs
  • 175g butter (room temperature)
  • 80g sugar
  • 100g nuts (minced)
  • 100g Turkish delight (diced)

  1. In a standing mixer, mix the flour with sugar and salt.
  2. Mix the milk with yeast and add it in the flour.
  3. Add the eggs.
  4. Add butter and continue to mix for 15 min.
  5. Cover with a towel and let it raise for 1 hour.
  6. Take the kugelhoph pan and butter it well.
  7. Take the dough out of the bowl and add the Turkish delight and nuts in it.
  8. Form a sphere from the dough and make a hole in the middle to fit the pan.
  9. Put it in the oven at 50ºC for 45 min to raise again. Add a liitle bowl with water in the oven, under the pan.
  10. Increase the temperature to 180ºC and bake it for another 1 hour.
