Chicken with sage and lemon

I love to cook Costel. This is how we call our chicken hidden in the oven and then we devour until the last bone.
  • 1 chicken
  • 1 garlic bulb
  • 10-15 sage leave
  • 1 teaspoon chicken seasoning
  • 4 tablespoons of tomato sauce
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 lemon (well washed)

  1. Wash the chicken and put it in a heat resistant glass tray
  2. The cloves of half of the garlic I put inside the chicken. together with half of the sage leaves.
  3. Half of the lemon I cut it in slices an I put them also inside in the chicken.
  4. Prepare a sauce from the tomato sauce, olive oil, salt, pepper and chicken seasoning and brush the chicken with it.
  5. The juice of the other lemon half pour it on top of the chicken and add 1 cm o f water in the tray/
  6. The remaining garlic cut it in pieces and add it in the tray.
  7. Put it in the oven at 180°C. After 30 min take the chicken out and brush it with the sauce from the tray, then put it back in the oven for another 30 min.
The chicken is very soft and has a special aroma.

Serve it with French fries or any other garnish.
