Apple cake

Would you like a quick festive cake? This is my magical recipe with apples. The trick is than it is a simple reversed cake decorated as a festive one. But it is a light one and more healthy! So. let's see the recipe ...

  • 8 apples
  • 200g sugar (for the caramel) + 100g (for the egg whites)
  • 5 eggs (whites and yolks separated)
  • 5 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 75g nuts
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanila extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 500g whipping cream

  1. Peal the apples and remove the stub.
  2. Caramelize the 200g of sugar in a pan that will have the size of the cake. Spread the caramel over the borders as well.
  3. Put the entire apples on the bottom of the pan.
  4. Put the nuts in the holes of the stubs and near.
  5. Separately, beat the egg whites with a standing mixer.
  6. Add sugar and continue to mix.
  7. Add the yolks and mix gently, at the lowest speed.
  8. Add flour, baking powder, oil and vanilla extract and mix gently.
  9. Pour the composition over the apples.
  10. Put it in the preheated oven at 180ÂșC for 45-60 minutes (until a stick inserted in the cake will come out clean).
  11. Let it cool and revese the cake on a plate.
  12. Cover the cake in whipping cream and decorate as you wish.
