Banana pizza

or banana tart if you prefer...

I have found this recipe long time ago and I declare it my favorite tart with banana. Is very easy to make, it is very quick and is a delicious desert to serve especially when you are missing the time to bake more fancy cakes.

  • 400g shortcrust pastry
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 6 banana (cut in slices)
  • 20g butter (optional, only to greasy the pan)
  • vanilla extract (optional, for an improved aroma)
  • cinnamon (optional, for an improved aroma)

  1. Stretch the pastry on a pizza pan that was initially buttered to avoid sticking. Let the border a bit thicker.
  2. Mix the flour with sugar and sprinkle it on top of the shortcrust pastry.
  3. Lay the banana slices over.
  4. (optional) if you chose to increase the aroma, add on top cinnamon and vanilla extract.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven at 240ºC for 15-20 minutes.

Serve it with caramel sauce if you like.
