Cinnamon bath bombs

It has been a while since I've done some homemade cosmetics.
This time, it was my daughter wish to make some bath bombs to fizzle in the bath. Cinnamon essential oil was at hand, so why not make this recipe.
From this quantity you arrive with three big bath bombs, but what a pleasure...

  • 220g sodium bicarbonate
  • 110g corn starch
  • 110g Epsom salt
  • 110g citric acid
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • 2 tablespoons baby oil (or any vegetable oil)
  • few drops of food colorant
  • 20 drops of cinnamon essential oil

  1. Mix the bicarbonate, corn starch and Epsom salt in a bowl.
  2. In another small bowl mix the colorant, water, baby oil and essential oil.
  3. Add the wet ingredients over the dried ingredients and mix until you get a sandy homogeneous consistency. Mix by hand, but use some gloves to avoid coloring your hands.
  4. Add the citric acid an mix again with your hands.
  5. Put this into shapes and press slightly.
  6. Leave them to dry for 24h.
Just enjoy...

Recipe inspired from here.

I was suggested this blog via my cousin. I’m not sure whether this post is written by him as nobody else realize such particular about my trouble. You are incredible! Thank you! bathmold
