Spaghetti Bolognese

Ooooh Mediterranean food.... more specific, Italian food .... what can be more delicious?

Some spaghetti with home made bolognese sauce. Aren't you just a bit hungry ?


Ingredients:
  • 4 small onions  - chopped
  • 10 garlic cloves - chopped
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1200g minced meat (pork and veal)
  • 800g chopped tomato in sauce
  • 280g concentrated tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons dried (or fresh) basil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1kg spaghetti
  • Parmesan cheese or Pecorino Romano cheese
  • parsley leaves for decoration

Directions:
  1.  In a high pan, heat the olive oil.
  2. Add the onions and garlic and let them cook for 5 minutes. Stir them.
  3. Add the meat and separate the meat well with a spoon.
  4. Add the chopped tomato, tomato sauce and basil.
  5. Add salt and pepper on your taste.
  6. Let it cook for 30 minutes, stirring from time to time.
  7. In another pot, cook the spaghetti: add water and wait until boiling then ads a pinch of salt and the spaghetti. They should be cooked in 10-15 minutes.
  8. Drain the spaghetti and lay them on plates.
  9. When the sauce is done, use a ladle to add the sauce on top of each plate with spaghetti.
  10. Grate some Parmesan cheese or Pecorino Romano cheese over, on you own taste.
  11. Decorate with parsley leaves.
