Clove bath bombs

Let's continue the adventure with bath bombs. This recipe is more compact as it contains more liquid compared to my previous recipes.
With a lovely spicy aroma of cloves, do you think you can resist using them with your next bath?

PS: My daughter tried one and although she liked the color given in the water she disliked the oily trace. We also found that the fizz was really reduced and that's why my daughter lost the interest in them.. I have then used them myself and although the oil content was indeed too high when bathing, the good thing was that there was no need of using a moisturizing cream after the bath. So one downside but an advantage and a gain of time in the end ;)

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sodium bicarbonate
  • 1/2 cup Epsom salt
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup citric acid
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 10 drops of clove essential oil
  • green and yellow food colorant

Directions:
  1. Mix the sodium bicarbonate, salt, cornstarch, citric acid in a bowl.
  2. Separately mix the liquids: coconut oil, olive oil and the essential oil.
  3. Add slowly the liquids into the dried ingredients and mix by hand. The texture should be like a wet sand.
  4. Separate the mixture into 2 bowls and add the colorant. Mix well the color in each bowl.
  5. Put alternative colored layers into some molds. For these bath bombs I used my daughter's plastic cup toys. Press the layers well. Let them dry overnight.
  6. The next day, take them out of the molds using a bit of shake.
